The Original Cask Strength is a marriage of three barrels, handpicked for their defining fruity characteristic that lies at the heart of Glasgow Distillery’s unpeated double distilled spirit style.

Meet Glasgow 1770 The Original Cask Strength. Our flagship release has been double distilled with unpeated malted barley before maturing in first fill ex-bourbon casks and finishing in heavily charred virgin American white oak from Kelvin Cooperage.

We have handpicked three exemplary casks of The Original that we felt truly represented our flagship style, and married them together to create this Batch 02 release which is presented at 59.5% ABV and limited to 750 bottles.

At cask strength, the fruity heart that is the defining characteristic of our unpeated double distilled style is magnified - with prominent notes of zesty Seville orange marmalade, dried apricot, toffee apple, poached pear and toasted pineapple.
